2025 Repartition is the opposite of renewal, 25x30cm, Oil on resin
My work investigates the theme of floral decay, a focus that emerged serendipitously through photography. Intrigued by the textures of withering flowers, I moved from abstraction to a realism that confronts the duality of fading beauty—ephemeral, depreciated, yet resilient.
I see nature's cycle of renewal as a metaphor for the resilience of memory—an imperfect force that reshapes our perception of what has disappeared. My paintings serve to pause time, arresting the slide into oblivion to shed light on the present.
Through a process of superimposing color layers, I construct a visual history where each stratum acts as a specific memory, gradually fading as it ascends to the surface.
