I remember (2019), Charcoal on newspaper, 58 x 38 cm, Series of 31.
'I Remember' is a series of drawings on collected newspapers, depicting light reflecting off objects in the dark. These almost pitch-black images reveal fragments of the Apollo XI spacecraft and other rockets, floating like space debris against the gallery’s white walls. The artist utilizes newspapers—accumulated over a decade—as the canvas. While newspapers traditionally represent streams of information and current affairs, superimposing photographic images onto them creates a dialogue about visual literacy and the nature of truth in the "Post-truth" era, where the line between reality and fiction is increasingly blurred.
