Just Imagine (2019), Series of 3 ceramic sculptures
'Just Imagine' features ceramic sculptures replicating the cameras used in the Apollo XI mission, crafted from the same ceramic material used for space shuttle shells. Placed on mirror plinths, they create an illusion of floating. Upon closer inspection, these vintage technical cameras resemble weapons. The work questions the camera's role as a recorder of truth: Is the framed reality the only truth? Are the shadows and the unrecorded specificities real? This series invites viewers to contemplate the disappearance of knowledge and how we often fill the gaps in our understanding with personal beliefs and imagination.
